Hi everyone, Over the past two years, the issues of inequality and social isolation have been highlighted and worsened as communities struggle to combat COVID-19. The solutions aren’t easy, but at the Tamarack Institute we know the power of community-based leadership to enact change. To that end, Tamarack’s Be A Light Fund has set a goal of raising $15,000 to support up to 150 individuals who are incredible leaders but lack the funds to participate in learning events.
Everyone deserves to benefit from new knowledge and ideas, but some people are financially unable to attend Tamarack learning events. Be A Light is a special fund to help those who have important lived experience and those with incredible potential but limited budgets to access opportunities where they can learn new skills and practices. This experience will enable them to contribute and support community change. It ensures as many voices as possible are heard in community change conversations – so that we all achieve a richer, fuller understanding of the issues at the table. Here are two ways that you can support the gift of learning this Giving Tuesday:
