Seeking feedback to address accessibility barriers at the CRA

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is consulting with persons with disabilities and their caregivers to better understand their experiences interacting with the CRA. We want to hear about potential accessibility barriers to our programs and services so that we may identify solutions and address these barriers.

The consultation is currently underway and will conclude on May 31, 2022. So far, roughly 125 individuals have registered for virtual group engagement sessions and one-on-one individual interviews. Participants are also encouraged to share their thoughts via the online questionnaire, which has received over 170 submissions to date – we’d like to see that number grow.

It is important that we hear from as many people as possible. Feedback from the consultation will inform the CRA’s first-ever Accessibility Plan, which will outline our approach for identifying, removing and preventing barriers across our programs and services. By gathering as much input as we can, this ensures that the Plan will reflect the realities of those with lived experience.

Please share the online questionnaire with your members who identify as persons with disabilities or are caregivers of persons with disabilities, so that we can improve our services with all Canadians in mind.
