Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin is a community-based charitable organization run by persons with disabilities, for persons with disabilities. Independent Living (IL) is a vision, philosophy, and movement of persons with disabilities.
The three principles of Independent Living is based on persons with disabilities having the right to:
Live with dignity in their chosen community;
Participate in all aspects of their lives;
Control and make decisions about their own lives.
Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin is seeking volunteers to sit on their Board of Directors. Currently, we are seeking professionals in the areas of finance, engineering, business management and media as well as an interest or a background in human services.
